About Us

Plumerias by the Sea (PBS) is Plumeria nursery located on private property in Cardiff by the Sea, California in San Diego County. We are proud to offer specimen quality Plumeria trees and plants to the cities of San Diego, Cardiff, Encinitas, Rancho Sante Fe, Solana Beach, Leucadia and Carlsbad.

Established in 2005, PBS carries an inventory of 100+ healthy Plumeria trees and plants representing a wide array of possible colors, shapes and fragrances! Originally started from cuttings from Hawaii, Florida and Indonesia many years ago, all of our trees are fully acclimated to Southern California. We only sell named cultivars recognized by the Southern California Plumeria Society. Our specimen quality plumerias have been trained for many years to grow in an upright position with most trees retaining all of the original branches.

Our plumerias range in age from 2 years to 7 years before sale. Our tallest trees in 24" wood boxes are approximately 5 feet on average from ground level.

Some cultivars want to grow tall while others grow the shape of a dome.

PBS is located on private property that is freeway close and easy to find. Visitors are welcome by appointment during the months of April through October.
